Why and how Poland? Our approach to scaling our human-centric operating platform globally

Mikko Virtanen
Expanding into new markets is a critical milestone for any startup seeking global growth. At Agileday, we are committed to supporting the world’s shift to better work life for knowledge workers and as highlighted by our ambition, we approach global scalability too with a human heart. With a vision to go beyond our native Finland, we have embarked on a thrilling journey to bring operating platform to markets worldwide.

In the early stages of companies’ lifespan, it is important to have curiosity for experimentation. At Agileday, this is how approach everything we do: from product development to customer onboarding, from marketing to even launching in new markets. We have noticed that experimentation mixed with our best experiences from the past, seem to be working. Thus, when we decided to launch Agileday in Poland, it was only natural to use the same approach.

In our experience, as well as discussions with customers outside Finland, we have recognized the importance of establishing a strong local presence even if we aim to be a fully global SaaS-company. Now, we are executing on this idea in Poland and in this blog post, I aim to open why did we choose Poland as our testbed and what was our approach in entering the market?

Land Of Professional Service Firms Ready To Build Better Work Life

Choosing the right market for expansion requires careful consideration and Poland met all our requirements. Poland's IT sector has been experiencing rapid growth, making it an attractive destination for Agileday. The country boasts a high level of talent, providing a fertile ground for our platform. Additionally, our team possesses valuable, prior experience in the Polish market, which has played a pivotal role in our decision-making process. By capitalizing on the rising demand for new, comprehensive tools that prioritize transparency, we aim to bring our expertise to Polish professional service firms.

Human-Centric Growth Starts With Local Presence And Collaboration

To ensure the success of our customers, we believe in establishing a strong local presence. We understand that connecting with customers on a personal level and understanding their unique needs is essential. To achieve this, we have developed localized websites, enabling us to communicate with potential customers in their native language.

Furthermore, having local team members is a crucial aspect of our expansion strategy. Our local ambassador in Poland, Tomasz, is instrumental in cultivating relationships with customers and translating our value to meet their needs. With this approach, we can ensure a seamless experience and address any concerns or questions that may arise. As we continue to grow in the market, we plan to expand our customer-facing teams, providing dedicated support and expertise to help our clients scale their businesses.

Collaboration is the heart of how we operate

Collaboration is at the heart of Agileday's approach in any market. We believe in working closely with our customers, understanding their pain points, and tailoring our solutions to meet their specific requirements. With regular visits and calls, we foster strong relationships and actively engage in conversations to facilitate the transformation journey. By aligning ourselves with our customers' goals, we become more than just a platform provider; we become a trusted partner in their success. And this is how we operate in Finland, Poland, Sweden, anywhere in the world.

Our entry into the Polish market represents a significant milestone in our company’s journey. But there is more to come as we learn and finetune our approach for the next market.
