Product Update: February 2025

Jussi Virtanen
February brought a bunch of valuable features and improvements for all of you to enjoy.

Summary

We’re happy to say we’ve released many significant new features and improvements in February. Here are the highlights:

  • Core HR: Probably one of the most requested extensions we’ve built, Core HR introduces HR capabilities in Agileday and allows you to store all relevant data about your people.
  • Email notifications: Get all the relevant notifications right into your inbox. You can conveniently adjust your preferences to choose which notifications you want.
  • Skill level descriptions: Bring everyone on the same page about what different skill levels mean. The same feature is available for willingness levels as well.

There’s plenty to discover, so let’s jump into the details.

Core HR

We’re proud to introduce our newest extension, Core HR, which allows you to store all the relevant data about your employees, such as:

  • Basic personal information, address, emergency contact, and dietary information
  • Employment information, including benefits, salary progress, and employment history
  • Documents
  • Notes

We also support custom fields, making the feature even more powerful. While we plan to implement comprehensive dashboard views to get an overview of your people, it’s possible to get all the relevant data through our API and build your own custom reporting for the time being.

The benefits extend to employees as well, as they’re able to view their data, reducing the need to consult your HR department. It goes without saying that we’ve also spent a significant amount of time to ensure all the data is securely stored and accessible only with proper permissions.

This is a paid extension, so contact your Customer Success Manager for more information and a demo.

Email notifications

Receive notifications right in your email inbox.

Speaking about highly requested features, you can now receive Agileday notifications straight into your inbox. On the preferences page, you can choose which of the available notifications you’d like to receive as an email. We hope this helps you stay up-to-date with everything you need to know about.

Skill level descriptions

Add, view, and edit skill level descriptions in the settings.

To ensure everyone knows what specific skill and willingness levels mean in your company, we’re introducing a new feature to define these levels explicitly. The levels are visible in all relevant places. To write the skill and willingness level descriptions, first enable its feature flag and then go to the Skills section under Data Management in Settings.

Improvements and fixes

Glowing AI chat interface

In addition, we've released plenty of smaller improvements and fixes, such as:

  • The AI-driven growth plan assistant can now access more context and data to help you create an even better growth plan.
  • Skill name, category, and description are now shown when hovering or focusing on a skill.
  • The expertise tab on a person’s profile got a facelift.
  • Markdown can now be used in the project, opportunity, and opening description fields. The text styles were also updated.
  • Administrators can now restrict Opening chats to admins only.
  • The search field is automatically focused when adding a new project in time reporting, making the experience smoother.
  • When adding new skills in the profile expertise section, it’s now possible to remove accidentally added skills without saving them first.
  • Opening visibility can now be adjusted based on the Opening stage, allowing more control over what subcontractors can see.
  • The Events API now includes new event types, enabling users to fetch data on Opening and Candidate stage changes.
  • Subcontractors now have access to "My Hours," allowing them to view their hour reports for a selected time frame. They can also export their hours as a spreadsheet for better tracking and reporting.

That's it for February, see you again next month. Until then, let us know if you have any questions.
