We just returned from our 2025 kickoff and are more than ready to continue moving forward into the new year.
Summary
January was yet another month filled with new features and improvements.
My hours: A view for employees to see all their hours conveniently in one place.
AI-assisted growth plans: Describe what you’d like to learn or improve, and let our AI create a growth plan for you.
Improvements, improvements, and fixes: Flex balance editor, a new “today” indicator, unified context menus, progress with new filters, to name a few.
Let’s jump into the details.
My hours
Employees and subcontractors can now find all their hours in the new My hours view in the time reporting view. The new view allows employees to:
Choose a predefined time range (current month, last month, current year, or a custom range)
View the actual and allocated hours and see their deviation
Drill through projects to individual day-level tasks, hours, allocations, deviations, and descriptions
Download all the data as a spreadsheet
The new view should help employees and subcontractors see the bigger picture of what they’ve done and what’s ahead.
AI-assisted growth plans
The start of a year is a good time to plan what you’d like to learn. With our Growth plans feature, we’ve helped many people determine their targets for learning a new skill or honing an existing one. To make the planning process even smoother (and productive), we just released an AI assistant to help you figure out your targets and build your growth plan.
The AI assistant understands how different skills are linked and can help you focus on the right things. For example, if you’re a backend developer and want to learn frontend technologies, the AI assistant can quickly help you find the right path.
The feature is in the Development section of your profile. Go and try it out, we’re sure you’ll love it!
Additions, improvements, and fixes
Another month, another batch of the good ol’ improvements and fixes, s'il vous plaît:
Flex balance: Under the HR settings, admins can now add flex hour adjustments to employees. In addition, we show the total and average flex balance if that’s something you fancy tracking.
New today indicator: We updated the style and logic for the “today” indicator, making it day-level precise. As one of those relatively minor improvements, we hope it will delight you as much as us.
Fixed context menu icons: The icons were styled slightly differently depending on the view, but that has now been fixed across the board.
Progress with new filters: Remember the sneak peek we shared a while back? We do, and we’re making steady progress with the components and implementation.
Certificate description styling: When a certificate had a longer description, the layout was sub-optimal. Now it’s optimal.
Button improvements: There is now a better indicator to show when a button is being clicked.
Preferences page improvements: Notification types should now be easier to understand.
In addition, we’re working on a couple of highly requested features, but more about those in the upcoming updates. Until then, let us know if you have any questions. See you in the next update!
